Help with Velvet on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Set up on iPhone and iPad
- Open Velvet and tap Open Safari Settings, or go to Settings › Apps › Safari › Extensions › Velvet.
- Turn on Allow Extension, then set All Websites to Allow.
- Open any website in Safari. Velvet’s menu is in the address bar (on iPhone, tap the puzzle icon, then Velvet).
Set up on Mac
- Open Velvet and click Open Safari Settings, or open Safari › Settings › Extensions.
- Select the Velvet checkbox.
- Click Edit Websites, select Velvet and set “When visiting other websites” to Allow.
Pages are not turning dark
- With Match Device selected, pages turn dark only while your device is in Dark Mode. Choose Always Dark to keep them dark.
- Check that Velvet is not paused and that the site is not set to Off in the Velvet menu in Safari.
- Make sure Velvet has access to the website (see the setup steps above), then reload the page.
One website looks wrong
Open the Velvet menu in Safari on that site and set it to Off for now, or choose Smooth quality for that site in the Velvet app. Then tap More › Report a Problem in the menu to tell us, and we will fix it in an update.
One purchase, every device
Velvet is a single purchase for iPhone, iPad and Mac with the same Apple Account. To install it on another device, open the App Store there and download it; you will not be charged again.
